Louisville, Kentucky
Project Description
The 1100-square-foot stand-alone building design incorporates a perforated, champagne-metallic skin application before a colored façade. The result is a duo-tone effect. Lit from behind, the colorful facade acts as a lantern for pedestrians at night. By day, the building is a kiosk-like structure, greeting visitors from the Market Street Greenway entrance, while it provides enough interior space for three new 12,000-gallon fermentation tanks. The project allows Rabbit Hole Distillery to expand its production of award-winning bourbon. It also contributes to the revitalization of the city's historic, pedestrian-friendly Nanny Goat Strut Alley, home to the annual Louisville Bock Beer and Goat Race Festival.
